The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Neal B. Cormany of Mount Pleasant.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Butcher of Michigan City, Ind.
He is also the son of the late Maria Boka.
Melissa earned a B.S. degree in public health sciences from Clemson University and a M.S. degree in health and exercise science from The Citadel.
She is currently a Ph.D. student at Nova Southeastern.
She is employed as an adjunct faculty member at Charleston Southern University.
Michael earned a B.S. degree in aeronautical and astronautical engineering from Purdue University.
He is employed by Boeing, Charleston, S.C.
The bride's family hosted a reception at the Pavilion at Patriots Point in Mount Pleasant following the ceremony.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Maids of honor were Caroline Bradley and Amanda Thompson.
Bridesmaids were Meredith Davis, Lindsay Nungesser, Lisa Lewerke and Katherine Brown.
Best men were Craig Brown and Rob Butcher. Groomsmen were Danny Hightower, Peter Genersich and John Butcher.
The couple enjoyed a wedding trip to Argentina.
They will reside in Mount Pleasant.
