Cummings and Simpson united in marriage

Lindsey Todd Cummings and John J Simpson, III, were married on

Saturday, March 19, 2011, at the Daniel Island Club where both the

celebration of marriage and reception were held. The Reverend Kyle

Dwight Randle presided over the ceremony.

A beautiful collaboration of wedding music was provided by Palmetto

Strings and flutist, Mrs. Amy McCurley. Mrs. Bette Rials, pianist,

performed during the cocktail hour, followed by reception entertainment

by The Coppertones.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

LeRoy Louis Cummings of Mount Pleasant. She is the granddaughter of

Mrs. Jan Kirkpatrick, also of Mount Pleasant.

The bride earned a

B.S. degree in Elementary Education from the College of Charleston and a

Masters in Reading and Literacy from Walden University. She is

currently employed by the Charleston County School District as a fourth

grade teacher at Pepperhill Elementary School.

The bridegroom is

the son of Mr. and Mrs. John J Simpson, Jr., of Summerville. He is the

grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John J Simpson of Okala, Florida, and Mrs. Mary

Jane Bailey of Summerville.

The groom is a graduate of Stratford

High School and is currently attending Trident Technical College seeking

a degree in radiology technology. He is currently employed with Lowe's

Home Improvement.

Ms. Andrea Duncan attended the bride as her maid of honor. Mr. John Oatis, Jr., served as the groom's best man.

The bride was celebrated with bridal showers given by Mrs. Ann Burdette and by the Pepperhill Elementary faculty.

In

addition, she was honored with a bridal luncheon hosted by her

grandmother. A rehearsal dinner was given by the groom's parents on the

eve of the wedding at Gilligan's Steamer and Raw Bar.

The couple make their home in Ladson, South Carolina.
