Mr. and Mrs. Michael K. Hickman of Mount Pleasant, S.C. announce the engagement of their daughter, Morgan D. McConnell, of Mount Pleasant, S.C. to Gregory P. Dyer Jr, of Mount Pleasant, son of Mr. Gregory P. Dyer of St. Louis, Mo. and Ms. Joan W. Dyer of Mount Pleasant, S.C. The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.D. Culbertson of Pawley’s Island and the late Major Charles McConnell and Ms. Barbara P. McConnell. The groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. William “Red” Wood of Sullivans Island, S.C. The bride graduated from the College of Charleston. She is employed by Laing Middle School. The groom graduated from the College of Charleston. He is employed by Applied Technology and Management. The couple plan to be married on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at Stella Maris Catholic Church, Sullivans Island, S.C.
