Ms. Jane B. Locke and the late Lynwood D. Locke, Jr. of Mount Pleasant, S.C. and Joe T. Belcher, Jr. of Mills River, N.C. announce the engagement of their daughter, Tasha Kara Belcher to Brian Weise Yates, both of Hico, West Virginia. Mr. Yates is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Yates of Mentor, Ohio and Mr. and Mrs. Rick McPeak of Painesville, OhioThe bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mrs. Mae L. Bledsoe and the late E. Odell Bledsoe of Saluda, S.C. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joe T. Belcher, Sr. of Greer, S.C. She graduated from the College of Charleston and is now attending grad school at Marshall University. She is employed as a part-time teacher with the local school district and by North American River Runners.The prospective groom is the grandson of Mrs. Aubrey Yates of Mentor, Ohio and Mr. and Mrs. Jon Bitzer of Mentor, Ohio. He is self-employed as a metal artist, and works with North American River Runners.The wedding and reception are planned for May 31, 2008 at 4:30 p.m. at the Historic Whitehorse Bed & Breakfast Inn in Fayetteville, West Virginia.
