Kristin Elizabeth King and Ariel Pablo Sznajder of New York, NY were married on April 9, 2011 at the Governor Thomas Bennett House in Charleston, S.C.Celebrant Kenda Sweet performed the 4 p.m. ceremony.
The Mark Rosenberg Band provided music for the ceremony. A reception followed on the side lawn.
The bride is the daughter of Bob and Linda King of Mt. Pleasant, S.C. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Bertel R. Johnson of Columbia, S.C. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. King of Lancaster, S.C.
The bride earned a B.S. degree in Psychology from Penn State University and a Master's in Public Health from Emory University. She is currently a PhD Candidate in Epidemiology at the University of Michigan.
The bride wore an heirloom wedding gown of candlelight satin made by her great-grandmother and worn in the weddings of her mother and grandmother. A sweet-heart neckline enhanced the bodice covered in re-embroidered Alencon lace, which was also appliquéed into a scalloped effect around the lengthy train.
The bridegroom is the son of Jacob and Elena Sznajder of Chicago, IL. He is the grandson of Mrs. Chana Przetycki of Haifa, Israel and the late Mr. Simon Sznajder and Mrs. Elena Sagredo of Montevideo, Uruguay and the late Mr. Hilario Aguirre.
The groom earned a B.A. degree in Spanish and Communications from the University of Iowa. He also earned a Master's in Public Policy and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
He is currently employed as a Marketing Manager.
Ashley Catherine King, the bride's sister, was her maid of honor. Raphael Simon Sznajder, brother of the groom, served as best man.
The couple's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Hampton Park on April 8, as well as a Sunday wedding breakfast at the Courtyard by Marriott Charleston Waterfront.
After a honeymoon trip to the Caribbean, the couple will reside in New York City.
