Stanton and Daigle wed at The Summerall Chapel
Whitney Minee Stanton and Logan Patrick Daigle, both of Mount Pleasant, S.C. were united in marriage May 31, 2009 at the Summerall Chapel at The Citadel.

The Rev. Peter Hyatt performed the ceremony. Classical prelude music for the ceremony was provided by “Julie Diamond Ensembles”; Cameron Wilson, soloist; Nancy Leftor, organist; and Jim Dillahey, bagpiper. A traditional sword arch was performed at the end of the ceremony.

A reception followed at The Sand Dunes Club on Sullivan’s Island, S.C.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brian Stanton of Mount Pleasant, S.C.

The groom is the son of Mr. Kenneth Daigle of New Orleans, La., and Mrs. Christine Lorensen of Thibodeaux, Louisiana. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Daigle of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard J. Russo of New Orleans, Louisiana.

The bride is the granddaughter of  Mr. Richard Novak, Sr. and the late Lynne G. Novak of Mount Pleasant and Mrs. Betty D. Stanton of Winter Haven, Florida.

The bride wore a long gown of lovely, natural dupioni silk. The mermaid strapless gown with a sweetheart neckline was accented in pearls and antique lace. The chapel length train as well as the veil was accented in lace, pearls, and beading. She carried a bouquet of delphinium, sahara roses and ivy, accented by strings of beading. The bride was given away by her father.

The maids of honor were Beckett Brookshire and Lauren Criswell of Mount Pleasant, S.C. The best men were Kenneth Daigle and Cliff Daniels.

Bridesmaids were Natalie Held, Brittany Garritano, Regina Harding, Tiffany Lambert, and Christina Hewson.

Groomsmen were Kalen Stanton (brother of the bride); Nicholas Daigle (brother of the groom); Adam Lorensen, David Collier, and Raymond Guasco.

The flower girl was Gracelyn Stanton of Mount Pleasant, S.C. The ring bearer was Master Brandon Jefferies and Master Carter Jefferies, both of Mount Pleasant, S.C.

The bride is a graduate of Wando High School and is attending Winthrop University where she is majoring in business administration and entreprenurship.

The groom is a graduate of Wando High School and The Citadel, where he earned a Bachelor of Computer Science degree. He is employed by T-Metrics, Inc. in Charlotte, N.C., as a product specialist.

A rehearsal dinner was given by the groom’s parents on Spirit Line Cruises on Saturday, May 30, 2009. The couple honeymooned in the Turks and Caicos Islands and reside in Fort Mill, S.C.
