Thigpen and Redar announce engagement
Mr. and Mrs. Willard McAdoo Thigpen, Jr. of Mount Pleasant, SC are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Alison Leigh Thigpen, to Kevin Richard Redar, both of South Bend, IN.

Ms. Thigpen is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Marion Paglia, Sr. of Mount Pleasant, S.C. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Willard McAdoo Thigpen, Sr. of Burlington, N.C.

Mr. Redar is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard James Redar of Kouts, IN.

He is the grandson of Mrs. Therese Plemich and the late Mr.John Plemich of Whiting, IN and Mrs. Bertie Redar and the late Mr.Anthony Redar of Mount Vernon, TX.

Ms. Thigpen is a graduate of Wando High School and earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from The University of Georgia in 2005 and a Master of Music Education with a Performance Certificate in Clarinet from the University of South Carolina in 2007. She is an Assistant Band Director at the University of Notre Dame.

Mr. Redar earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management Information Systems from The University of Notre Dame in 2001 and is a Senior Project Manager with Press Ganey Associates in South Bend, IN.

The wedding is planned for October 23, 2010 at Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church in Mount Pleasant, SC.
