Because I was swerving
Saturday, August 21, 2010

An officer watched a driver swerve all over the Ravenel bridge and almost hit the concrete divider. Then the driver switched lanes without using a turn signal and the officer decided it was time to pull this drunk over. However the car did not stop right away which concerned the officer. However she finally stopped in a nearby parking lot. she cracked the window just a little and lit up a cigarette. Try as she might, this did not cover up the smell of booze seeping out her window.

She handed over her license but not her registration and insurance and the officer asked where she was coming from. she said downtown and when the cop asked if it was anywhere in particular, she said no.

He asked if she had been drinking and she said she had a few beers and he asked if it impacted her driving and she said probably.

He asked her to step out of the car and she stumbled aorund a little. The cop told her to put out her cigarette and she tossed it on teh ground and tried to stomp it out but missed it with ehr foot and didn;t even notice.

He again asked her where she;d been and she said no place in particular and when he asked if she should be driving she said, "too much and should not be driving."

She then said she had three or four beers and a couple shots in a downtown bar.

He asked her what time she thought it was and she said about 2 a.m. however it was only 12 a.m.

He asked her if she knew why he pulled her over and she said, "because I was swerving."

She tried the alphabet test and said she could not do it and then couldn't follow directions on the rest of the tests.

at this point the officer just had to go ahead and arrest her for drunk driving. when the officer went to handcuff her she grabbed his hand and started rubbing him while he was trying to lock up the cuffs. She refused to blow, once at the station but said she needed to use the restroom.

Two officers went in and cleared the restroom and then let her in. She refused to shut the stall door right so the officer turned away from her but held it closed. Then she said she could not get her pants down and asked the officer to help her. He refused and then she said she did not care if he watched her go to the bathroom. Her request for him to watch her was also denied. Then she wanted help pulling up her pants, which the cop would also not assist her in doing.

This type of flirting got her no where but to the jail house where she got three hots and a cot.
