An officer just happened to be traveling behind a truck that seemed to be speeding. So, he turned on his radar just to make sure. The driver was in fact going 52 mph in a 45 mph zone The driver pulled over and when the officer took one look at him, he could tell the man was nervous. He was pouring sweat. The man said he did not have his driver's license but gave the officer his name and birth date. He told the officer he was headed to a local bar up the street to perform music and was running late. When asked if he had anything illegal in the car, he turned with a very frantic look and said no. The officer asked him if he'd ever used any illegal drugs before and he said, 'do you mean in my lifetime?' The officer said yes and the man said he'd probably done some drugs before in his 28 years on the face of this earth, but when asked he did not say when or what kind. In fact he acted like he didn't even want to answer the question.
The officer found out why when he called the drug dog in. The dog alerted on some rolling papers and a couple of joints. Turns out his last drug binge was more recent than he wanted to admit. However, he was given tickets for speeding and possession and allowed to head on down to the abr to perform.
