The struggle to move, preserve and use the historic Long Point Road Schoolhouse has been a long one. John Wright, president of the commission’s board, stood with members of the commission, along with council member Kathy Landing, to announce the successful purchase of land off Snowden Road that will become a permanent site for the schoolhouse.
