On Friday, April 4 Quiana Parler and Friends featuring Dudley Birch will kick off the series at Children’s Park along the Wando River. This nine-piece band features male and female vocals with a three-piece horn section. A previous contestant on American Idol, Quiana has toured with Kelly Clarkson and Clay Aiken, and has opened for a variety of well-known jazz and R&B artists.  Kids will also be entertained with a performance by Daniel Island’s Hip Hop Dance Troupe and funky craft activities, like creating their own 70’s-inspired sunglasses and necklaces.

Sundown on the Wando will continue on Friday, May 2 with performances by Havanason and A1A, followed by the series finale concert by Heart & Soul on Friday, June 6. Each event will begin at 5 p.m. with Happy Hour specials, food and children’s activities at Children’s Park on Daniel Island. Musical performances will take place from 6-9 p.m. The event is open to the general public and admission is free. Parking will be available in the fields adjacent to the Daniel Island Sales & Information Center at 101 River Landing Drive. Food and drinks from Dog & Duck Food & Spirits will be available for purchase. Pets must be leashed and supervised.
