The Charleston School of Protocol and Etiquette and the Woodlands Resort and Inn will be offering an interactive one day seminar, “The Polished Professional” Saturday, Nov. 8,  from 8:30am - 4:30pm at The Woodlands Resort and Inn in Summerville.

Topics include: The importance of  First Impressions-  How to introduce yourself and others – Handshaking – Business card protocol – Networking -  How to sit correctly – Entering a room correctly – Proper seating protocol - Body language – Poise – Posture – Eye contact – How to have a successful business meeting over a meal - American and continental styles of dining – Understanding the formal setting.   

“Business etiquette today is no longer about the prim and proper, it is often why some people are more successful than others.  Studies indicate personal savvy may be the difference of the people at the top and those not, ” said Cindy Grosso, course instructor and owner of Charleston School of Protocol and Etiquette.
