Wando High School chorus is cookin’

Printer Friendly Version  |  0 comment(s)

The Wando High School Choral Booster Club has been busy all summer compiling recipes from the kitchens of East Cooper families to publish its first cookbook, titled “Home Cooked Harmony.”

Throughout the fall, Wando chorus members will be busy selling the cookbooks as a fundraiser to support the six performance ensembles that make up the Wando Choirs.

The cookbook features over 350 recipes for everyday and entertaining, including supper club and family favorites, Lowcountry classics, and recipes handed down from generations.  Sample recipes include: Bacon Tomato Cups, Basil Shrimp with Feta and Orzo, Broccoli Cornbread, and Derby Pie.

With over 250 singers, The Wando High School Choral Program has developed a reputation as one of the finest choral programs in the Southeast.  The six choirs perform throughout the year with fall, winter and spring concerts in the Wando Performing Arts Center.

For information about the Wando Choral Program or to purchase a cookbook, visit www.wandochorus.com, or contact the Chorus Department at 843-881-8255.
