Billfish Tournament moving to May 2012
Tuesday, May 10, 2011

Charleston Harbor Resort Billfish Tournament is moving. The original tournament was schedule to take place July 13 - 16, 2011.

However; the resort and marina has decided to move their inaugural tournament to May of 2012.

By July, most billfish have already moved up the coast and with an already busy fishing agenda it makes sense to move the dates to May when fish are more likely to be in our waters.

Tracy Mitchell, Director of Sales and Marketing, adds, "We are looking for a new and fresh way to market our inaugural tournament that sets us apart from the already well established Governor's Cup series, which may include Captain's Choice fishing three out of five days, adding different categories, adding a small boat series and we have some other ideas we are throwing around."
