from the Cooper River Challenge Fishing Tournament held on the pier
at the Mount Pleasant Waterfront Park on Oct. 8. Adult winner Hun Noh of
North Charleston caught a 7 lb., 4 oz. sheepshead. Lady winner Tiann Mullin
of Charleston caught a 10 oz. sheepshead. Youth winner Grayson Bennett of
James Isnald caught an 8 oz. spot. The senior winner was Chip Frasier who
caught a 6 oz. whiting. This was the first-ever registered senior catch at the
Cooper River Challenge, which was the fifth fishing tournament at the Mount
Pleasant Pier. Scott Mullin of Charleston received the prize for the aggregate
weight of up to five fish with a total weight of 5 lbs., 5 oz. He caught three
Sheepshead weighing between 1 lb., 8 oz. and 2 lb., 5oz.
