Spinning marathon set to roll March 10
Tuesday, January 24, 2012
By THE MOULTRIE NEWS

The Pedal4Pattison's planning committee is proud to announce that the fifth annual Spinning Marathon to raise money and awareness for the needs of children served by the programs of Pattison's Academy will be held on March 10.

The Spinning Marathon is being held to raise money and awareness for the needs of children served by the programs of Pattison's Academy, including its day camp, which provides the only therapeutic summer camp for children with multiple and/or severe disabilities.

At the summer camp as well as the newly opened PACE Charter School, the children receive much-needed physical, speech and occupational therapy as well as specialized educational instruction and support.

Over the last three years, this event has raised more than $400,000 for the children of Pattison's Academy, and community support is still needed so children with disabilities here in the Lowcountry can actively participate in our community and just be kids. National sponsors include Spinning and Cytomax.

The title sponsor is locally owned McAlister Development Company, and angel sponsor East Shore Athletic Club will be once again donating 127 Spinning bikes to be used at the event, which is being held at Pattison's Academy for Comprehensive Education (PACE) Charter School.

For more information about the event or registration, go to www.pedal4pattisons.org.

One hundred percent of profits will go to benefit Pattison's Academy and the children they serve. For more information visit www.pedal4pattisons.org.
