On Friday, Aug. 27, 1965, Joann Carol Danker and Max Leroy Kimbrell Jr. became one in the unity of marriage at Saint Mark’s Lutheran Church in Coral Gables, Florida.
They made a commitment before God, that with his help they would love each other, take care of each other, strive to live their lives together as God intended as long as they both shall live.
On July 25, 2015, at Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church in Mount Pleasant, they celebrated this commitment in praise and thanksgiving to God for his many blessings in their 50 years of marriage.
The celebration was early, so all four children with their spouses and 12 grandchildren could be present. A reception followed in their Mount Pleasant home.
