AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) has announced that Ted Creech has been appointed director of government relations for AT&T South Carolina. With more than 21 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, he will lead statewide efforts in government relations and legislative planning for the company. Creech has served as regional director for AT&T’s External Affairs in the Berkeley/Charleston/Dorchester region since 2001. “Ted has a proven record of success in leading high-performance teams to achieve great results and in leading regional business and community initiatives,” said Pamela Lackey, president of AT&T South Carolina. “His leadership of the company’s government relations comes at a time that is crucial to our success. Our vision is to connect our customers with their world, everywhere they live and work, and do it better than anyone else. Ted has been a leader in community affairs, economic development and government relations in the Lowcountry, and he did it better than anyone else. I have total confidence that he will be equally successful at the state level.” Creech has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of South Carolina. He is a past chairman of the Charleston Regional Development Alliance and the Greater Summerville/Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce. He is a vice chair of the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce and has served as a board member and as a member of the executive committee of the BCD Council of Governments.
