The South Carolina Aquarium Presents the "Scary-Um"

Charleston, S.C. - October 2, 2008 - October means fish, fun and frights at the Scary'um Aquarium! Ghouls & Buoys of all ages can celebrate the scariest season at the South Carolina Aquarium and discover eerie exhibits, scary shows and more every day from Friday, October 3 - Sunday, November 2. Embark on a family-friendly Haunted Hike in the Aquarium's newest exhibit, Camp Carolina, featuring a spooky trail and things that go bump in the night. Kids can celebrate Halloween all month with a special $2 children's admission discount for all kids in costume! Get spooked at special daily shows and programs including: Trick or Treat with the Otters: A Mountain Forest Otter Feeding; Monday through Saturday at 10:00 am What Lurks Beneath: A Great Ocean Tank Interactive Dive; Monday through Saturday at 11:00 am; Sunday at 1:30 pm Night Frights: A Great Hall Live Animal Program; Monday through Saturday at 1:30 pm Frankenfish: A Great Ocean Tank Interactive Dive; Daily at 3:00 pm Creepy Crawly Critters: A Great Hall Interactive Program; Daily at 4:00 pmGet ready for Halloween at the South Carolina Aquarium's annual Fish or Treat, a Member's-only event on Thursday, October 30 from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Trick or Treat throughout the Aquarium, enjoy interactive games and prizes, compete for cool awards in the Costume Contest and enjoy a evening filled with fun for the whole family. Admission to Fish or Treat is $5 per person for Aquarium Members only. Reservations and advance payment required.
