Clue: The Musical Comes to Boone Hall

Boone Hall, 82 Queen and The Company Company are partnering to present a unique dinner theatre experience for the Lowcountry.  While taking in spectacular marsh views in a historic setting, audiences will enjoy delectable cuisine by 82 Queen and a thrilling, interactive murder mystery presented by The Company Co.

If you like the board game and movie, you'll love this hilarious murder mystery musical comedy!  The whole audience plays this time, helping decide if it was Col. Mustard, Prof. Plum, Miss Peacock or any of the other colorful characters  "who dunnit."  The special venue of the Boone Hall Cotton Dock is designed to combine an evening of outstanding dining with the magic of theatre presented in a unique interactive format…delivering a memorable experience for everyone in attendance.

Bill Schlitt, co-founder of The Company Co. with wife Maida Libkin, states, “This show is even more fun than the famous Parker Brothers board game because the audience decides the ending.  You actually play the game with the live, singing, zany murder suspects of Clue.  It’s totally interactive musical comedy in one of the Lowcountry’s most beautiful settings.  And, don’t forget, it’s also dinner theatre with a wonderful feast prepared by one of Charleston’s most legendary restaurants, 82 Queen.”  Additionally, the show features an all-star Charleston cast: Ryan Ahlert, Samantha Andrews, Lee Blackwell, Bill Schlitt, Jamie Smithson, Kathy Summer, Terry Terranova and Blake Whitney.

The Company Co.’s mission is to re-imagine musical theatre wherever people gather.  The organization is dedicated to inspiring audiences, nurturing artists and uplifting the community.  Past productions include Gypsy, She Loves Me, A Little Night Music, Into the Woods (co-productions with the Village Repertory Co.), Hymnfest, America the Beautiful, the City of Charleston’s 2007 Christmas Tree Lighting, Harvest Moon over Broadway, and The Good Time Variety HourHaH.  Upcoming events include:

An Affair to Remember – A special benefit featuring live jazz, an auction and a sampling of The Good Time Variety Hour

The 2008 Holiday Edition of The Good Time Variety Hour – A Lowcountry tradition of songs, dance, music and laughs

Moments of Joy: An Evening with Joy Vandervort Cobb – Renowned actress, comedienne and singer presents her one-woman show

Clue: The Musical dinner theatre is held at 6:30 pm on Wednesdays, October 15, 22 and 29 and November 5, 12 and 19.  Tickets are $75 and can be purchased by calling (843) 884-4371 or visiting http://boonehallplantation.com/dinnertheatre.php or http://www.thecompanycompany.com/.  The show is held at the Cotton Dock at Boone Hall Plantation & Gardens, located at 1235 Long Point Road in Mt. Pleasant.

Poor Man's Version

With the economic upheaval of the past few weeks, The Company Company has decided to offer a "poor man's version" of Clue: The Musical...Clue: The Economic Stimulus Plan!   Wednesdays, 10/15 and 10/22, folks can turn off their tv's and come out for some thrilling fun in the gorgeous setting of the Boone Hall Cotton Dock for just 15 bucks!  Rather than provide a full dinner on these nights, The Company Co. will offer a cash bar and serve Schlitt's Super Salsa & chips.  Show time is 7 pm.  Tickets can be reserved by calling (843) 810-8100 and they can be purchased at the door.
