‘Life in the Lowcountry’

The Gifted Artists of America Center, Inc will present a fundraising event from 6-9 p.m., June 19, at the Motley Rice Building located at 28A Bridgeside Blvd., in Mount Pleasant.

Hosted by Bridgeside Events the theme of the Art Show and Silent Auction fundraiser is “Life in the Low Country”. The money raised will enable the Center to continue to provide art support to talented young people and others from the Lowcountry who do not have the funds or the educational opportunity to have their artistic ability nurtured. There will be 56 original works and 124 canvas reproductions – most of which will be for sale. Five original painting will be sold through the Silent Auction.

Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased at giftedartist311@yahoo.com, by calling (843) 860 9717 or at the door. Lowcountry cuisine, wine and beer are included.

Resident artist and founder of the Gifted Artist of America Center is  John Gregory who paints under the name of DASO. A gifted artist, DASO has mastered the techniques that so well represent his works that will be exhibited at the Art Show. The little boy who in 1966 dreamed of becoming a world renown artist today has his paintings in the White House, Washington D.C.; the State House, Columbia, SC  and in private collections nationally and internationally.
