Charleston Chamber of Commerce Launches New Website Printer Friendly Version | 0 comment(s)
Charleston, SC - The Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce has launched a completely revamped website, www.charlestonchamber.net,as a new online resource for its members and the community. The new site offers a wealth of information, new functionality and excellent networking opportunities.
The Chamber’s website serves as a resource for important economic and community data including economic profile, demographics, major employers, cost of living and more. It also includes Chamber initiatives, events, current news, upcoming legislation, relocation sources and helpful information to better serve Chamber members and the community.
"What we have launched today is not your typical website; rather, it is a total business resource tool. The information that can be retrieved combined with the ability to use this site to heighten a Chamber member's services to other businesses and the consumer is amazing," said Bobby Collins, Chamber chairman.
As a part of the Web 2.0 revolution, the Chamber recognized that businesses need to have the ability to network and communicate outside of traditional media. The member-only section serves as an online community for Chamber members to meet, network, create profiles and more. Users can join online groups based on common interests and goals, read forums posted by others and connect with fellow Chamber members. Users will also have the ability to post job listings, share documents and photos, access member coupons and use a more convenient online system to register for events and purchasing publications.
