Mrs. Fletcher was born January 9, in Cleveland, OH, daughter of the late Casmir (Casey) and Natalia (Nell) Evans. She graduated from Bowling Green University having studied home economics and education. She taught early-age special education. Above all else, she considered her greatest accomplishment to be raising her two children. She was an avid cook and reader and she enjoyed sharing meals and conversation with friends and family.

Mrs. Fletcher is survived by husband LT John Fletcher, USN (Ret) (Ladson, SC), son LCDR Jack Fletcher, USN and his wife, Claire (Vienna, VA), daughter Susan LaBarge and her husband, Van (Woodstock, GA), grandchildren Isabelle, Matilda, & James, brother Ronald Evans (LaGrange, GA), and many beloved friends including Teddy & Emily Cook (Mount Pleasant, SC), Herb & Linda Johnson (Cumming, GA), and Gil & Nelson Little (Mount Pleasant, SC). She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Evans.
