Thomas Leonard Freeman, 73, husband of Betty Clayton Freeman, of Brooklet, Ga., died Monday, Dec. 31, 2007 at his residence.
Graveside funeral services were held Jan. 3, 2008 at Cummings Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call at Parks Funeral Home, Summerville, SC Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Cummings Chapel Cemetery, P. O. Box 351, Ridgeville, S.C. 29472.
Mr. Freeman was born March 23, 1934 in Rockingham, N.C., a son of Thadus L. Freeman and Laura Simmons Freeman Burke. He was a salesman for Liberty Life Insurance Company and Grayson Ford. He was Baptist and was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict. Mr. Freeman was an avid golfer, where he was a member of Southern Links golf course, and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Survivors include his wife, Betty C. Freeman of Brooklet, Ga.; one daughter, Terri Martin of Brooklet, Ga.; two grandchildren, Sharon Lynn Martin and David L. Martin, both of Brooklet; one great-grandchild, Cherokee Woods of Brooklet; and two sisters, Linda Yaksima of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Dianne Snipes of Rockingham.
