Ruth R. Watson, 74, widow of Leon Edward Watson, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2011. The funeral service will be Thursday, December 15, 2011 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL at 3:00 PM. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at STUHR’S MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 o’clock.

Mrs. Watson was born November 10, 1937, in Asheville, NC, daughter of the late Williard Boyd Rice and Alice May Elkins Rice. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

Surviving are her two sons, Marty Watson and his wife, Ann Daniels Watson, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Darryl B. Watson and his wife, Bonni Hinks Watson, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; a daughter, Cynthia W. Bischoff and her husband Jon, of Charleston, SC; eleven grandchildren, Brittany, Logan, Chrissy, Samantha, Chelsea, Zac Victoria, Savannah, Brooke, Jessie, Sarah; two great grandchildren, Cameron and Braedon, sister-in-law, Cheyrl Fishburne and her husband, Henry of Mt. Pleasant, SC., brother-in-law, Keith Watson and his wife, Fran of Summerville, SC, David Watson and his wife, Peggy of Lexington, SC, Doug Watson and his wife, Patty of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son, Leon E. Watson, Jr. and daughter, Beth W. Szymonski.
