The nature of the business
A man was minding his own business one day when his phone rang. The caller introduced himself and immediately began questioning the man as to whether he knew a girl we’ll call Sarah.
The caller wanted to know who this man was and how he knew Sarah. The man however did not know Sarah and told the caller so.
Initially the man was not suspicious of the call because he is in sales and is in contact with several different people a day. But when the caller addressed him by first and last name, he became concerned.
The caller suggested that the man and Sarah were having relations and he knew how to find him.
The call ended after that.
His phone rang again and this time it was Sarah calling from the same number.
She apologized to the man for bringing him in the middle of this very odd situation.
The call ended but once again the phone rang, this time showing a private number.
The line was open and all he could here was the original caller and Sarah arguing in the background.
This went on for about eight minutes and he hung up. The phone rang again, resulting in the same scenario.
However at some point Sarah tried to dial 911 but could not get through of course because he was on the other end of the call.
The man called police and reported this chain of events. Minutes later the man received a text message saying don’t call my phone again.
He wrote back, “ditto.”
He received one more vulgar message and called the investigating officer to inform him and told the officer he realized how he knew Sarah. He said that he and his wife contacted Sarah, who is a real estate agent, about purchasing a condo that she was selling. He told the officer that he searched the Internet and found out that the male caller is also in real estate and the number he was calling from is listed as his contact information on his Web page.
The officer attempted to contact the man making the harassing calls but did not make contact with him or his girl Sarah.

Take me to jail and you’ll pay
A woman pulled into Park West late one evening. The officer behind her noticed her tail lights were not working.
He followed the car which went all the way around the traffic circle and back out of the neighborhood. He pulled her over to inquire about her tail lights and noticed right away she was hammered.
He asked her where she was coming from and she said Mount Pleasant.
She said she was lost despite the fact that she’d lived in Mount Pleasant for 20 years.
She admitted to being at a local bar and then went into a sob story about her mother who was dying and her brother who had just died.
The officer did not play into her plans for a pity party and asked her to step out of the car.
She stumbled her way out and lost her balance several times. She refused to do any field sobriety tests, denied drinking any alcohol and asked if she could just go home.
She was arrested for DUI, which didn’t sit well.
She told the officer her past had been hell and threatened him, saying, “the good thing is, you are going to hell for this.” As if it was the officer’s fault she was driving drunk and being arrested she went on to say, “hope you are proud of yourself. Putting me in jail...that’s going to do it.”
Once at the station she refused to blow, and when asked if drinking might have had an effect on her driving she said, “absolutely.”

Where is the love?
A woman’s employer got a little frisky with her one afternoon, which made her feel extremely uncomfortable.
The girl met her employer in a parking lot one afternoon and they rode together to a job site. Once complete he brought her back to her car. She was about to get out of his car when he held his arms out as if to hug her goodbye.
She hugged him back, but Cassinova suddenly pushed her back and started to nuzzle her neck.
He then tried to put his hands up her shirt but she struck out at him and demanded he get off of her.
She managed to get away and into her own car. She resigned the next day but the boss man continued to try and woo her by calling, text messaging and e-mailing her.
She called police because she just wants him to leave her alone. Of course when the officer tried to contact him, he did not answer his phone.
Officers told her they would tell Cassinova to back off.

Better safe than sorry
A Tennessee man walked into a local grocery store and went straight to the condom aisle. However safe he planned to be, he had no intention of actually purchasing anything.
He simply opened up a box of condoms, helped himself to two of them (with eager anticipation) and proceeded to walk back out the front door.
Management stopped him at the front door.
He admitted to stealing the condoms and was placed on trespass notice. Luckily management did not purse shoplifting charges. They did however make him pay for the whole $12 box and leave.

That attitude will get you ...
A cab driver had to call police because the man he gave a safe ride home to got a little mouthy, refused to pay the cab fare and walked off.
However, drunkie didn’t get far.
By the time an officer arrived he had stumbled about only about a block away.
The cop stopped to talk to the man who said he did not pay the cab fare because back in Kansas, “we don’t pay the cab driver if we don’t like the service.”
Well here in Mount Pleasant you don’t get to walk around drunk and with a bad attitude.
He was arrested for public drunkenness.

Potty mouth
A Eutawville woman with a mouth as filthy as a sewer called up a woman she apparently has a beef with and threatened to kill her.
She left her a message and said that she was going to come to her place of employment and stomp her and then kill her by ripping out her privates. She went on to say that she was glad she was being recorded so that when she killed her the Mount Pleasant Police Department would know who to look for.
An officer gave this woman a jingle and told her to stop by the station. Believe it or not, the woman did.
She came right on in, received her No Trespass notice and listened to the officer’s warning about not going to this woman’s job site or calling her again.
The victim in return said she did not want to pursue charges at this time.

Party on dude
Officers patrolling outside the gates of Dunes West came upon what was clearly an underage party. There was a beer box in the middle of the road and cars parked up and down the road.
Officers parked and walked up to the residence about the same time a young man came strolling across the front lawn. The officers stopped him and could smell beer all over his breath. In his back pocket was a koozie that the boy pretended to know nothing about.
An adult female came to the door about this time and told officers that this young man did not live at the house but he and a group of other 16 year olds had just gotten back from an Afro Man concert.
The officer asked the boy if he had been drinking, he insisted he hadn’t.
The officer then asked if there was anything illegal in his car and he admitted to having some beer and even offered to get it for the officer.
He handed over an 18-pack and said he gave a stranger $20 to go into the store and buy it for him.
Eventually he admitted to the officer that he and his buddies had been drinking and smoking and said he lied because he was scared.
The boy’s parents were called to come and get him because he was too drunk to drive. They also were allowed to drive the car home rather than it being towed.
No one else was charged because the officer did not find any beer inside the house the kids were congregating at.

Act your age
Some middle aged neighbors just can’t seem to get along and have resorted to calling the police to come and baby-sit them every time they have a little tiff.
This time neighbor one called police because neighbor two’s husband took a picture of her. She said that neighbor two has accused her of stalking them.
But what was really going on is that neighbor two’s wife has been flirting with neighbor one’s husband.
Neighbor two’s version of the events is that neighbor one stands outside her house and just stares them down. She said neighbor one runs to the edge of the property line and will stand there and stare at them.
She said her neighbor’s behavior has become more aggressive and it makes her uncomfortable.
There wasn’t much the officer could do for the neighbors other than to tell them to stay away from each other and to call him back if they need him to come back and baby-sit.
