Julianna Bowman fundraiser
Press Release
Tuesday, May 13, 2008

Money is being raised to help Julianna Bowman with her medical expenses. Bowman has a rare, chronic, “degenerative connective-tissue disorder” in her spine. She has been hospitalized since the beginning of October, 2007 and faces a long up-hill battle to recovery.  She has seen specialists at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in California and is planning to go to Ohio for several weeks of special pediatric therapy.
Bowman, a 14-year-old student at Cario Middle School  has faced many challenges since last fall and this has been an extremely trying time for she and her family.
She is the daughter of Joe and Tamara Bowman, and sister of Elyssa and Jennifer.  The Bowman family is a part of the Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church congregation.
Join them on  June 7 for BBQ, sports and more.  The event is $25/person and includes BBQ from Sticky Fingers and a ticket to watch the Charleston Battery Soccer game.  The fundraiser begins at 5 p.m.  Food will be served until approximately 7 p.m. and the game starts at 7:30 p.m.
Participate in a raffle for a chance to win a golf cart.  You can buy a raffle ticket for a chance to win a refurbished Club Car golf cart.  The tickets for the golf cart raffle are $50/ticket.  The drawing will be during halftime.  You do not need to be present to win, but  have your phone on so you can be contacted if you do win.
