Kiawah Island Real Estate To Host Inaugural First Tee Of Greater Charleston Lowcountry Scramble

Kiawah Island Real Estate will host The First Tee of Greater Charleston’s inaugural Lowcountry Scramble on Monday, Sept. 8 at the River Golf Course at Kiawah Island Golf Club in Kiawah Island, S.C. The Lowcountry Scramble is one of the primary fundraisers of the year for The First Tee of Greater Charleston program.
After the 9:30 a.m. registration and warm-up session, the Lowcountry Scramble will begin with a shotgun start at 11:30 a.m. and utilize a Texas scramble format. Each foursome will receive 60 percent of each member’s USGA handicap towards the total score. Lunch will be provided with dinner and drinks at the awards ceremony after the tournament.

The First Tee of Greater Charleston launched the area’s inaugural program in June with summer clinics conducted in partnership with the Boys & Girls Club and the YMCA. In September, The First Tee of Greater Charleston will begin programs for all Charleston County area youth from 8 to 18 years of age who are interested in learning to play golf.
