Knology is proud to announce Charleston’s Annual 5K Pajama Run/Walk, an event that will benefit MUSC Hollings Cancer Center.

The event will be held Oct. 25 in downtown Charleston.

Pajama-clad runners and walkers alike will be participating in the 5K with the same goal in mind: to raise $10,000 for research for cancers occurring below the waist, such as ovarian, colon and testicular cancer.

The event begins with late registration and packet pick-up at 2 p.m., followed by the race at 3 p.m., and a post-race pajama party held in Joe Riley Stadium. Food and beverages will be provided at the post-race pajama party along with awards for the fastest runners in each age group, best pajama costumes and top fundraisers.

Upon registration, participants will automatically be set up with a fundraising webpage that can be personalized. Participants will be able to send the webpage link to family and friends to request donations to the MUSC Hollings Cancer Center.

“We are very excited to have this race benefiting MUSC Hollings Cancer Center,” said Catherine Shubeck, Knology marketing and event coordinator. “We aim to raise $10,000 this first year and hope to surpass it with each annual race. We take great pride in partnering with one of the most advanced cancer centers in South Carolina.”
