Erika Nadine Brown of East Norriton, Penn., and Daniel Richard Rufener of East Norriton, Penn., were married on Saturday, June 22, 2013, at New Hanover Lutheran Church in Gilbertsville, Penn. Pastor Thomas Lang performed the ceremony.
The bride is a daughter of Eric H. and Debra S. Brown of Mount Pleasant. The groom is a son of Richard M. and Cathleen L. Rufener of Ravenna, Ohio.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a satin and taffeta ivory-colored gown with a rouched sweetheart neckline and Swarovski pearl crystals. The gown had an A-line skirt and a chapel-length train with floweres of organza lace and a hem of lace. She carried a boquet of dark purple Lisianthus, white Dendrobium orchids, freesia and lavendar stock. Her veil was fingertop length tulle with crystal edge accents.
The maid of honor was Inga E. Brown of Greenville, S.C., sister of the bride. Bridesmaids included Suzanne E. Caravoulias of Quakertown, Penn., Erin M. Trainer of Houstan, Texas, and Libby M. Dorundo of Flemington, N.J.
The best man was Robert M. Rufener of Ravenna, Ohio, brother of the groom. Ushers included Bradley J. Sanderson of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Jared M. Robinson of Akron, Ohio and Richard D. Lambert, Jr., of Tallmadge, Ohio.
Leah I. Cosner of Blairsville, Ga., , neice of the groom, was the flowergirl. Eli M. Cosner and Aaron J. Cosner, of Blairsville, Ga., nephews of the groom, were the ring bearers.
The bride graduated from Wando High School and Johns Hopkins University. She is employed by Merck and Co.
The groom graduated from Ravenna High School and the University of Akron. He is employed by Merck and Co.
A reception was held in Gilbertsville, Penn.
After a honeymoon in Australia, the couple will live in East Norriton, Penn.
