James Knight and Rachel Kim

Rachel Kim of Springfield, Va., and James Stratton Knight IV of Raleigh, N.C., were united in marriage Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016.

The ceremony was held at Vienna Presbyterian Church in Vienna, Va.

Pastor Peter James officiated.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her parents, is the daughter of Jae Pyo Kim and Sam Soon Kim of Springfield, Va.

The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. James Knight of Mount Pleasant.

The bride wore a strapless lace gown made by Allure. She wore a chapel length veil and crystal comb and carried a mix of flowers of hydrangeas and roses.

The maid of honor was Christina Tran of Fairfax, Va., the bride's best friend.

The matron of honor was Esther Om of Fairfax, Va., the sister of the bride.

The groom's father, Dr. James Knight III, was the best man.

Bridesmaids included Jackie Huynh, Falls Church, Va.; Sera Cho, New York, N.Y.; Mary Souphida, Lorton, Va.; and Suzanne Phan, Fairfax, Va. - all friends of the bride.

Groomsmen were Logan Sheets, Clovis, N.M.; Nathan Bowers, Mount Pleasant; Adam Williamson, Tampa Bay, Fla.; Trevor Connell, Charlotte, N.C.; and Philip Stone, Roanoke, Va. - all friends of the groom.

Charlotte Lavin of Raleigh, N.C., served as the flower girl. She is the groom's niece. Caleb Om, of Fairfax, Va., the bride's nephew, was the ring bearer.

The bride is a graduate of James Madison University and Seton Hall School of Law and is employed by the Department of Justice.

The groom is a graduate of North Carolina State University and American Military University. He is employed by the United States government.

After a reception in Fairfax, Va., the couple honeymooned on a tour of Greece, Italy, and Turkey.

The couple will reside in Burke, Va.
