On Tuesday, May 7, from 4-6 p.m. the Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a special event for area nonprofits on how to successfully use social media and networking in their campaigns. The event will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn on Wingo Way in Mount Pleasant and will feature Katie Blomquist of Going Places, an area nonprofit which provides new, custom bikes to every child that attends a Title 1 Elementary School in the Charleston area.

The seminar will also include funding expert Jeff Jernigan of Customer Development Solutions who will provide fundraising tips and tricks as well as a Q&A Roundtable with lawyer Brayn Raymond of Cobb, Dill & Hammett, LLC to speak on the legal issues that nonprofits face.

This event is free for Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce members and $20 for non-chamber members. Space is limited and on a “first come first serve basis.” To register, please e-mail Tiffany Joy or Robin Manna at w01319mk03@costco.com. Snacks and drinks will be provided at the event.
