Tiffany Ruth Mills of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, and Kirby McClanahan Thompson of James Island, South Carolina, were united in marriage on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014, at East Cooper Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant. Reverend Conrad Monroe Brown performed the wedding ceremony. A reception followed the service at the Hobcaw Yacht Club.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Richard Ernest Mills of Mount Pleasant. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Felton Clark Sisk of Lexington, South Carolina, and the late Dr. Bruce Mills and Mrs. Barbara Mills of West Palm Beach, Florida. She is a graduate of Wando High School and Erskine College where she received a B.A. in mathematics. She has been employed as a substitute teacher by the Charleston County school system.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Evans Thompson of James Island. He is the grandson of the late Dr. and Mrs. Edward E. McKee of Charleston, South Carolina, and the late Colonel Charles M. Thompson and Mrs. Frances Thompson of Hanahan, South Carolina. He is a graduate of James Island Charter High School and Erskine College where he received a B.S. in athletic training. He is employed by the Boy Scouts of America in Waynesville, North Carolina.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. The maid of honor was Miss Erin Louise Gainey, cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were Miss Holly Kathleen Anderson, Miss Isabelle Marie Forbes, Mrs. Sarah Lauren Garrett, Miss Paris Alexa Hanvey and Miss Leighton Danielle Morgan. The flower girl was Miss Alyssa Michelle Bozzuto.
Lance Cpl. Justin Edward White was the best man. Groomsmen were Mr. James Owen Creech Jr., Mr. Patrick Michael Meyerink, Mr. Arthur Paul Pittman III, Mr. Brian Christopher Thompson and Mr. Charles Edward Thompson, both brothers of the groom. The ring bearer was Master William Hutchinson McKee, cousin of the groom. The readers were Mr. Christopher Ernest Mills, brother of the bride, and Miss Carley McCall Anderson. Honorary bridesmaids included Miss Shannon Faith Campbell, Miss Jacquelyn Paige Cole, Miss Kate Charlotte Kornegay and Miss Melanie Catherine Wells. Ushers included Mr. Michael George Hall, Mr. Christopher Ernest Mills and Mr. Christopher Louis Mocarksi.
After a honeymoon in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, the couple will reside in Waynesville, North Carolina.
