01) Richard Benter Greer- OBIT

Richard Benter Greer, 65, of Umatilla, Florida went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 13, 2024. There’s no doubt that he was welcomed at the gates with Our Father saying, “Well done my good and faithful servant. Well done!” Richard passed with Claudia and his family beside him. He put up a 13 month fight with Pancreatic Cancer and is now pain free. Born in Charleston, West Virginia, to the late Robert & Lovelace (Shelton) Greer, he moved to Umatilla in 1992 from Jacksonville, Florida. He was a pharmacist, owning & operating Umatilla Drug Store which he opened in 2006. Richard was a deacon and member of the First Baptist Church, Umatilla, as well as the Kiwanis Club of Umatilla and former member of the Lions Club. Richard is survived by his wife of 41 years, Claudia Claussen Greer of Umatilla, FL; 3 daughters, Courtney (Shale) Latter of Lutz, FL; Meredith (Brian) Konnerth of Umatilla, FL; Allison (Larry) Coste of Mount Pleasant, SC; 6 grandchildren, Jadyn Latter, Izabella Latter, Audrey Latter, Maddy Konnerth, Jaxson Konnerth and William Coste. Services will be held at First Baptist Church of Umatilla, on Friday, March 22, 2024, at 2:00 PM.
