Rosaline Kwan

Rosaline Kwan, Canada's new Consul General in Atlanta, is the World Affairs Council of Charleston's (WACC) next guest speaker on March 28 at Halls Signature Events — located at 5 Faber St. — in Downtown Charleston, starting at 11:30 a.m. 

Kwan will brief the WACC on the 21st Century partnership between our countries. Common priorities include promoting the transition to clean energy, building reliable and sustainable critical mineral supply chains, and advancing diversity and inclusion.

Having served as a diplomat in New Delhi, Taipei and Beijing, and a senior executive in the Government of Canada, Kwan brings a wealth of experience and diplomatic expertise to this key role and looks forward to building even stronger ties between Canada and the U.S. Southeast.

The Consulate General of Canada is commemorating 50 years of representation in Atlanta. The mission covers six states in the U.S. Southeast: Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina.

In South Carolina, Canada's business interests are wide-ranging, from banking (TD Bank) to pharmaceutical products (Cipher) to the forestry industry.
