"The Sports Page Design award was for the very first edition that the Moultrie News editorial staff took over layout for (Sept. 26) and Frankie won first place. This speaks highly of Frankie’s sports coverage and page design skills," said Moultrie News Editor, Cecilia Brown.

"As publisher I am proud of the Moultrie News editorial staff and Jody Stallings, our education columnist, for winning seven 2018 SCPA News Contest Awards. Our editorial staff is small in size, but not in the coverage they offer East Cooper. That is why I call them the Mighty Moultrie News team," Moultrie News Publisher Vickey Boyd said. "Frankie Mansfield rakes in the first place awards every year in sports coverage bringing home three to six awards every year. I congratulate the team on their dedication and hard work. We are excited and honored to be recognized for these awards by the South Carolina Press Association."
