Ginger Smith Lloyd, 54, daughter of the late Billie Palmer Smith and Dr. H.M. Smith of Greenville, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Greenville Memorial Medical Center.

Ginger was a graduate of Winthrop University with a degree in Communications and retired as Vice President of Edgewater Construction of Mount Pleasant. She was former Director of Volunteers at St. Francis Hospital and Project Coordinator with March of Dimes.

She is survived by her son, Patrick Bryan Lloyd, Jr., of the home; two sisters, Judy S. Haigler and her partner, Constance L. Fender, of Northampton, MA., Nancy L. Smith of Greer; and a brother, Dr. Thomas W. Smith, and wife, Barbara, of Greenville; a niece, Lauren P. Smith and nephew, Thomas W. Smith, Jr.

She was predeceased by a son, Christopher N. Lloyd and a brother, Russell H. Smith.

Judy, Nancy and Tommy would like to acknowledge the untiring, devoted and loving care provided by her son, Patrick, for the last chapter of her life.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, from 10:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown, with the funeral service following at 12:00 noon in the Downtown Chapel.

Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
