Senior Morgan Roberts leads Bishop England on the chase of its fourth straight tite.

Bishop England girls lacrosse fired past Wando, 18-9, Wednesday on Daniel Island.

Bishops senior attack Grace Ann Carlson posted four goals on five shots to go with a game-high five assists.

Morgan Roberts added three goals, while Brooke Dominak, Ava Ward, Kennedy Coupe, and Francis Poch each scored two for the Bishops. Dominak and Ward both scooped three ground balls as well.

Bishops freshman keeper Hailey Hubbard registered seven saves in goal. Aisling Gosse and Ava Delray combined for eight saves for the Warriors. Bishop England fired off 26 shot attempts in the game, while Wando countered with 16.

Bishop England led 7-2 at halftime. Wando improved offensively with seven goals in the second half, but surrendered 11 at the other end.

Junior attack Bridget Connors and freshman Maddie Wood both scored twice for the Warriors. Paige Leonard corralled five ground balls with one takeaway, Wood added four and Skylar Weiskittle scooped three.

Bishop England has won seven straight over Wando.

The defending state champion Bishops improve to 7-0, riding a 22-game winning streak that dates back to 2017, with Bluffton visiting on Friday. Wando, now 8-1 overall, will travel to Socastee on Monday.
