Bishop England

Aspiring Bishops will have plenty of opportunity this summer to be part of an athletic department that’s produced a record 152 state championships.

Bishop England is offering 12 different youth summer camps in June and July, each designed to provide instruction, fun and competition for blossoming athletes. Current Bishop coaching staffs and former players will help develop campers with the same techniques and methods that have proven to deliver championship results within their own teams.

Bishop England will host two football camps, June 10-14 and July 15-19, both led by Bishops head coach John Cantey. Players in grades first through ninth are welcome to attend. The camp will meet from 9 a.m. until noon each day. Cleats are preferred. Registration is $100 per session.

Fresh off their third straight state championship, the Bishops baseball program will host two sessions as well, June 24-28 and July 8-12, led by coach Mike Darnell. Players in grades third through 10th are invited. The camp will run from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. each day. Cleats, gloves, bat and baseball attire are required. Registration is $150 per session.

Hall of Fame of fame coach Paul Runey will lead the girls basketball camp June 10-14. The camp will meet 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day. Players in grades sixth through 10th are welcomed. Basketball shoes and attire are required. Registration is $150.

Those are just a few of the many sports and options offered this summer. Boys basketball, cheer, co-ed soccer, boys lacrosse, dance and pom, volleyball and art are available as well.
