TMP 17U won the Big Shots Tipoff championship last weekend in Columbia.

TMP won the 17U and 16U championships of the Big Shots South Carolina Tipoff last weekend in Columbia.

TMP’s 17U team outscored its competition 242-130 through its four-game run that included a 63-23 win over Rock Nation Impact in the championship finals.

Fort Dorchester junior Antoine Parker led TMP with 42 total points, third-best of all players in the 17U division.

The Lowcountry Storm went 1-2 in the 17U division, led by Wando junior Maliek Brown who finished second in scoring with 48 total points, averaging 16 per game.

TMP’s 16U team won its first three games by a combined 193-134 before edging Big Shots Elite WV, 57-56, in the championship game.

Burke sophomore Rahmel Bell led TMP with 39 total points, seventh-best in the division.

TMP’s 15U team went 2-1, falling to the Carolina Cavs, 50-37, in the championship semifinals.

Fort Dorchester freshman Demetrius McKelvey led TMP with 47 total points, third-best in the 15U division.

The Lowcountry Storm had two ninth-grade teams compete in the AAU Spring Classic last weekend in Orlando.

The Lowcountry Storm Blue team defeated the Lowcountry Strom White team, 52-47, in the tournament semifinals. The Blue team earned a top seed in the division bracket after winning its three pool play games by an average of 18 points. The Blue team finished second overall, falling to Elite Hooperz of Tallahasse, Fla. in the tournament championship game.
