Get home

Island officers also got a call for a possible trespasser. The male subject entered the residence and stated he only was trying to get his children to come home because the children were not supposed to be at that location, according to the report. The subject was placed on trespass notice from the residence anyway.

Got off lucky

A traffic stop was made on a vehicle for an improper turn. And when officers spoke to the driver and asked if she had been drinking she said she had one beer. The officer decided to write her a ticket and let a friend drive her home.

Saint Patty's Day

There was a heavy police presence on the island on Saint Patrick's Day, but that did not stop one suspect from pulling down his pants and exposing himself to a family as he attempted to urinate in front of a gas station. The officers told him to stop as he attempted to walk away and began to run through traffic to avoid officers. They caught him and handcuffed him and the subject began to resist. The subject was arrested, placed in jail and charged with urination in public, disorderly conduct, open container, and resisting arrest.

Back to prison

Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a turn signal violation. Officers could smell a strong scent of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle. The officers searched the vehicle and located a small baggie with a little bit of green plant-like material and located six tablets that the suspect admitted to being ecstasy. The subject was placed under arrest and taken to jail. The subject was also on probation and will possibly go back to prison.
