Timothy (Tim) Rogers

Charleston Stage, the leading professional theatre company in South Carolina, has recently announced the appointment of Timothy Rogers as its new Managing Director, effective April 15.

Timothy (Tim) Rogers brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of transformative leadership in growth, engagement and team development. With an impressive career spanning over two decades, Rogers has held key executive positions in multiple industries, building trusted partnerships, driving revenue and fostering organizational growth.

Having been involved in performing arts throughout his high school and college years, Tim is well-acquainted with the stage. Presently, he engages his passion for music as a choral singer. In June, he will join a choir comprising 100 singers to perform alongside Lauren Daigle at Carnegie Hall.

Most recently, Rogers served as the Vice President of Engagement at Floyd Lee Locums, a Charleston based services corporation. Prior to that, he served as the Senior Vice President of Membership and Investment at the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce.

“We are delighted to welcome Tim Rogers as our Managing Director,” said Sarah Beardsley, incoming President of Charleston Stage’s Board of Trustees. “Tim’s extensive experience in growth and audience/member engagement will help Charleston Stage build our ability to produce great theatre and educational programs that broaden our perspectives and deepen our connections to one another.”

As Managing Director, Rogers will oversee all aspects of Charleston Stage’s operations, including financial management, fundraising, audience development and strategic planning. He will work closely with the Board of Trustees, staff and artists to continue Charleston Stage’s tradition of artistic excellence and community engagement.

“I’m honored to join Charleston Stage and for the chance to contribute to the cultural landscape of Charleston and our thriving arts community,” said Timothy Rogers. “I look forward to collaborating with talented artists, staff and patrons to elevate our visibility and expand our reach, ensuring that Charleston Stage continues to thrive as a cornerstone of the performing arts scene. Above all, this role is an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our audiences through the transformative power of the performing arts.”

Rogers holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Baylor University and has been recognized for his leadership and contributions to the community, including being named “40 under 40” by Washingtonian Magazine and receiving the “Best Chamber in America” award from the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE).
